Since launching Epic's Care Everywhere platform in 2012, Cincinnati-based Mercy Health has exchanged more than 10 million patient records across the country, according to a West Kentucky Star report.
Mercy Health has exchanged records with 234 organizations in 48 states, according to the report.
"We're so thankful to be part of an organization that puts our patients first through investments such as a patient health record exchange," Steven Grinnell, president and CEO of Paducah, Ky.-based Lourdes Hospital, a member of Mercy Health, told the West Kentucky Star. "Our ability to share the right data with the right provider [at] the right time ensures that our patients benefit from the best possible care since their vital information follows them no matter where life takes them."
