MEDITECH has partnered with Nuance Communications and Intelligent Medical Objects to help translate physician notes into clinically accurate data in the EHR.
The triad seeks to enable providers to translate unstructured narrative text into accurate data to be inserted into the EHR. Physicians can use Nuance's speech recognition tools to create a narrative at the point-of-care, and Nuance's clinical language understanding tools can extract key patient information and convert it into discrete, structured data. Then, IMO's platform takes the data and matches it with standardized code sets. All the information is then made available in MEDITECH's EHR.
