The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded McKesson a $6.1 billion contract modification to replenish pharmaceutical supplies for the Department of Defense through the government's Tricare pharmacy.
This contract modification is the first of three 30-month period options for McKesson to provide these services, according to a statement.
Through the contract, McKesson will provide pharmaceuticals for 9.5 million active-duty service members, retirees and their dependents through Dec. 16, 2017.
