Members of the Massachusetts legislature overturned Governor Deval Patrick's veto on a bill that will allow Medicaid reimbursement for remote patient monitoring programs throughout the state.
The new law will allow reimbursement to certified home health agencies enrolled in Medicaid for remote patient monitoring programs. According to the American Telemedicine Association, Massachusetts is now the 12th state to allow Medicaid reimbursement for this type of remote patient monitoring.
