Even one of the pioneers of social media platforms doesn't appear to follow recommended password security protocols: Hackers broke into the Twitter and Pinterest accounts of Mark Zuckerberg, chairman, CEO and co-founder of Facebook.
A group called OurMine Team has claimed responsibility for the attack, saying they gained access to Mr. Zuckerberg's passwords from the recent LinkedIn data breach, reports Venture Beat. It appears Mr. Zuckerberg used the same passwords for his social media accounts as he did for LinkedIn.
After accessing Mr. Zuckerberg's Twitter account, the hackers reportedly sent a tweet from his account that read, "We are just testing your security," reports The New York Times.
