Lumiata, a provider of AI-powered health analytics, appointed Dilawar Syed CEO. The company also raised $11 million in a new funding round.
Mr. Syed previously served as president at Freshworks, a cloud-based software company. He has also spent time as head of platform operations at Yahoo. He was named to the President's Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in 2010 by President Barack Obama and earned his MBA from Philadelphia-based Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Lumiata will use the new funds to accelerate its deployment of health analytics products for health plans, providers and self-insured employers. The latest investment brings the company's total funding to $31 million. Khosla Ventures and BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners co-led the financing round.
