The University College London Hospitals is working with Verona, Wis.-based Epic to design, build and implement a new EHR as part of its digital transformation strategy.
The EHR implementation at UCLH, a U.K. National Health Service Foundation Trust, will improve interoperability with its NHS partners. UCLH will collaborate with other NHS NHS Digital, NHS Improvement and NHS England throughout its Epic implementation.
The EHR will include a patient portal to connect patients with their healthcare data and facilitate communication between patients and their care teams.
The hospital plans to go live with the new EHR in 2019.
