The John S. & James L. Knight Foundation, along with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the California HealthCare Foundation, have announced the launch of Knight News Challenge: Health, with a focus on using big data to improve population health.
The challenge is currently in the inspiration phase, during which ideas surrounding the difficulties, successes and opportunities of health information will be accepted. The contest will open Sept. 3, and submissions will be accepted through Sept. 17.
The challenge offers $2.2 million in prizes.
