Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health teamed up with mobile health service provider DocGo to transport the first patient in their zero-emissions ambulance.
The first patient was transported from Jefferson Abington Hospital in Abington, Pa., to a skilled nursing facility April 26, according to the news release. The electric ambulance is the first of its kind to be registered in the U.S.
"As a large healthcare organization, we recognize that we have a responsibility to develop and implement sustainable practices, all while remaining committed to our primary mission: to improve lives,” said Dr. Judd E.
