Fitness tracker company Jawbone has unveiled a new employee wellness dashboard as well as a bulk discount for its fitness tracking devices, according to a report from Forbes.
The service, called Up for Groups, allows companies to buy Jawbones at reduced prices for employees and use the dashboard to track wellness of the particular cohort to which jawbones have been provided. The service is available for groups of at least 10 employees, and the software will calculate metrics for groups of 5 or more anonymous people.
Currently, Jawbone is running tests on its consumers to figure out how to combine wellness data with phone notifications to change wellness behaviors.
Incentive programs like this are designed to keep insurance costs lower for employees, and group use of the devices is makes it more likely people with stick with the program, according to the report.
