The Indiana Network for Patient Care has received an $8.4 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality to bolster its health information exchange infrastructure, according to an Indiana University School of Medicine news release.
The grant will also support an Alzheimer's research study, Comparative Effectiveness Research Trial of Alzheimer's Disease Drugs, that uses data from the INPC. The infrastructure expansion and study will serve as national models for regional HIEs and will advance knowledge of Alzheimer's.
