Health information exchanges in Illinois are expanding their connectivity and linking up with other HIEs throughout the region.
The Lincoln Land Health Information Exchange and Illinois Health Exchange Partners developed a shared infrastructure for nine healthcare systems to securely share patient data, according to a 97.9 XFM report.
The two HIEs have also connected with Central Illinois HIE, Metro Chicago HIE, Missouri Health Connection and Wisconsin Health Information Network.
