In a new collaboration, Doctor Evidence, a clinical health research data provider, will contribute cancer research content to IBM Watson's oncology solutions and developer ecosystem.
Doctor Evidence's decade's worth of data — nearly 2 million data points — will join Watson's nearly 15 million pages of data from medical textbooks and journals.
Watson also has content partnerships with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Cancer.gov and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
"Our oncology data contains valuable information that could truly help doctors provide personalized treatment options to their patients," said Robert Battista, CEO and co-founder of Doctor Evidence, in a statement. "By integrating our data with the Watson Ecosystem and Oncology Solutions, we hope to make that information more actionable for clinicians, and we look forward to seeing how app developers will leverage the high-quality clinical evidence we supply."
