IBM Watson Health Unit names Dr. Kyu Rhee chief health officer

IBM appointed Kyu Rhee, MD, chief health officer for the Watson Health Unit, Fortune reports.

Dr. Rhee currently serves as chief health officer of IBM, and will continue serving this position in addition to his new role. In his new position within the Watson Health Unit, Dr. Rhee will oversee building a community of health professionals, making sure provider needs are met and working toward new growth areas for the health data platform, according to Fortune.

Prior to IBM, Dr. Rhee was chief public health officer at the Health Resources and Services Administration, and he was the director of the Office of Innovation and Program Coordination at the National Institutes of Health.
