IBM Watson adds 2 new partners

IBM Watson continues to add new collaborators in the healthcare sector. Nutrino, the developer of an app for expectant mothers, and diabetes care-focused company Novo Nordisk are two of the newest partners.

Nutrino offers an app designed to offer scientific and personalized nutrition advice for expectant mothers. The Nutrino App, available for download in the Apple Store, is powered by Watson.

"The Nutrino App Powered by Watson helps women navigate through a trove of available nutrition information and offers recommendations responsive to a women's changing needs throughout her pregnancy," said Yaron Hadad, PhD, co-founder and chief science officer at Nutrino.

Novo Nordisk and IBM Watson Health partnered to create diabetes solutions on the Watson Health Cloud.

"Working with ambitious partners like IBM Watson Health helps us explore the opportunities presented by an increasingly digitalized healthcare system. We aim to leverage our combined capabilities to improve the lives of people with diabetes by making the management of the condition more simple, effective and measurable," said Jakob Riis, executive vice president of Novo Nordisk.
