Atlanta-based Humana is warning residents of a potential security breach possibly affecting approximately 3,000 members in the area, according to an 11 Alive report.
An unencrypted USB drive and an encrypted laptop were stolen from a Humana associate's car. The USB drive contained names, medical record information and some Social Security numbers for Atlanta-area Humana members, according to the report.
Humana said it does not have reason to believe the stolen information has been used inappropriately, and it is offering free credit-monitoring services to affected members, according to the report.
