The Health Resources and Services Administration will distribute $12 million to as many as 40 rural healthcare providers seeking to meet meaningful use, according to an AHA News Now report.
The grant money can be used to accomplish a variety of goals, including electronic health record training and purchasing health IT software and equipment, according to the news report. The grants, however, cannot be put toward direct delivery of services.
All applications for the HRSA grant money are due by May 27.
