A recent survey jointly administered by AHIMA and HIMSS explored trends in health information exchange organizational staffing.
The survey aggregates answers from 16 health information exchange organizations.
Participants outlined several challenges when hiring and recruiting for HIE staffing positions, including difficulty finding candidates with project management experience specific to HIEs and needing extended periods of time to find candidates who culturally and technically match the organization.
The survey also asked participants to note recruitment methods to identify talent. Here are eight recruitment methods indicated by the survey participants.
