Where do hospitals and health systems' new ideas come from?
For most hospitals, the answer is within their own walls, according to a new survey from HIMSS and innovation accelerator AVIA.
The top sources for innovative ideas include:
- Internal staff (65 percent)
- Peer-to-peer networking (53 percent)
- Membership in industry organizations or affinity groups (44 percent)
- Industry trade publications (33 percent)
- Websites (32 percent)
- External consultants (28 percent)
