Hospira and Iatric Systems are collaborating to create interoperability between Hospira's smart infusion devices and Iatric's Accelero Connect integration software.
Through the partnership, hospitals can automate smart pump programming with a validated EHR medication order. In addition, the interoperability ensures medication data will be integrated into a patient's EHR.
Hospira and Iatric are currently piloting the interoperability system at an undisclosed hospital in the U.S.
"Hospira is proud to partner with Iatric Systems to make IV-EMR interoperability available to the hundreds of hospitals where Iatric systems performs integration," said Hospira Infusion Systems President Julie Sawyer-Montgomery.
