The Health Information Management Systems Society has identified the virtualization and speech recognition software markets as poised for significant growth in the Autumn 2013 edition of the Essentials of the US Hospital Market: Support Services.
Currently, virtualization software and dictation software with speech recognition are installed in less than 50 percent of U.S. hospitals. However, both of these applications have a compound annual growth rate of more than 20 percent, significantly higher than any other applications studied in the report.
The CAGRs, coupled with a relatively low market penetration, suggest these technologies will become increasingly attractive to vendors and will experience further market growth in 2014.
