HIMSS to Open Innovation Center for Interoperability Testing

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society has announced that it is leasing space in the Global Center for Health Innovation in Cleveland to launch an innovation center.

The HIMSS Innovation Center will include an "IT ecosystem," an environment populated with simulated patient demographics, clinical and financial data, where healthcare communities will be able to test and demonstrate a specific product's interoperability capabilities.

It will also provide services for health delivery and health IT companies, along with exhibitions, educational programming and consumer-oriented applications.

The center is scheduled to open in October.
