Since the beginning of November, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society recognized three more organizations with 2017 HIMSS Enterprise Davies Awards.
The award "recognizes outstanding achievement of organizations that have utilized health information technology to substantially improve patient outcomes and value."
The organizations are:
• Cleveland Clinic
• Dallas-based Parkland Health & Hospital System
• Sandusky-based Northern Ohio Medical Specialist Healthcare, multispecialty physician group
HIMSS noted Cleveland Clinic's dedication to developing health IT innovations to improve patient care and highlighted its development of VitalScout, an enhanced early warning system.
HIMSS also highlighted Parkland Health's Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy program that allows patients to receive antibiotic therapy in their homes, as well as NOMS Healthcare's Improved Quality Scores initiative, which included developing a standardized implementation committee and creating standardized templates.
