HIMSS has launched Quality 101, a new online resource to serve as a primer for the basics and metrics of quality measurement and improvement, according to an HIMSS news release.
Quality 101 was created by the HIMSS Patient Safety & Quality Outcomes Committee to help healthcare providers better understand the details of quality reporting in light of meaningful use incentives and the adoption of electronic health records.
The website will be introduced in two phases. Phase 1 will serve as a primer to quality measures, and Phase 2 will focus on the Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle approach to documenting a test of change for quality improvement and related quality components.
Quality 101 visitors are now able to view the following information:
• Quality — The Basics
• Quality — Key Industry Players
• Quality & Meaningful Use
• Quality — Public Reporting
• Quality/Cost Relationship
• Quality — Clinical Decision Support
• Quality Resources
