Healthbox, an accelerator for healthcare innovation, has announced its newest class of healthcare technology companies for its Chicago Studio, which launched this week.
This studio will be Healthbox's fourth Chicago program and 14th overall program. The new Chicago class includes 10 companies selected from across the country. The 2015 Chicago Studio Cohort includes:
• Admetsys, a company behind the development of an artificial pancreas.
• GreenLight Medica, a cloud-based platform designed to facilitate online collaboration between hospital staff and medical technology professionals.
• Guardian Health Technologies, a medical support solution from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
• Human Practice, a mobile platform for physicians to communicate with one another.
• Immersive Touch, a platform that allows surgeons to visualize and practice surgery.
• Lifespeed, a platform designed to personalize and share health stories.
• Orunje, a platform that connects patients with local physicians and nurse practitioners.
• SpiroSano, a clinical solution focused on chronic conditions such as asthma and cystic fibrosis.
• Welltwigs, a company behind a smartphone connected fertility monitor.
• Wellth, a platform focused on ACOs and quality metrics.
