Amit Trivedi, program manager of healthcare for ICSA Labs in Mechanicsburg, Pa.: The ONC Certified HIT Product List is your go-to source for ONC certified HIT products, [but] the publicly available test result summary is often overlooked. For any product published on the CHPL, you can download a test results summary report and find useful information, such as how long testing took to complete, when the testing was conducted, which standards the product supports, details around the software's quality management system, usability testing methodologies and results, and other useful information. The information in the CHPL, along with thoroughly vetting the product to ensure it fits its intended use can go a long way to helping ensure you select the right technology.
