If you have a great idea, get a trading partner, do a science project, show somebody else. If all agree it looks good, re-engineer it to be enterprise-ready. Convince a second trading partner to implement and suddenly you will find yourself with a competitive advantage and an emerging standard. Don't be limited by the mandate mentality. Like the logo says: "Just do it".
