In the last month, Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CIO and chief technology officer moves as well as other executive moves affecting health IT companies and federal agencies.

1. The Center for Connected Health Policy elevated its interim Executive Director Mei Wa Kwong to the post permanently.
2. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health promoted Nicholas Hartfield to vice president and chief compliance and privacy officer.
3. Outcome Health, a Chicago-based health technology startup, named Vince Panozzo executive vice president of sales.
4. Health Catalyst, a data, analytics and decision-support company, added three notable healthcare leaders — Eric Topol, MD, Brent James, MD, and Timothy Zoph — to its team as strategic advisers.
5. Morgantown, W.Va.-based Mon Health added Mark Gilliam to its executive team as CIO.
6. Amazon is fielding applications for a HIPAA Compliance Lead, according to a job listing on its website.
7. Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Chief Compliance Officer James Mathis left to join Seattle-based UW Medicine, where he will also serve as chief compliance officer.
8. Bolivar, Mo.-based Citizens Memorial Hospital appointed Louis B. Harris, MD, its chief medical information officer.
9. The technology company Uber recruited healthcare privacy lawyer Ann Waldo to serve as a lobbyist to champion HIPAA as it relates to ridesharing.
10. As part of Amazon's latest move into healthcare, the company hired Martin Levine, MD, a physician from Boston-based Iora Health.
11. Paul Browne joined the Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System as its new senior vice president and CIO.
12. Health Catalyst, a provider of healthcare analytics, decision support and outcomes improvement solutions, added Timothy Ferris, MD, to its board of directors.
13. Facebook quietly hired ex-White House Cybersecurity Policy Director Nathaniel Gleicher as its first-ever director of cybersecurity policy in January.
14. Toledo, Ohio-based ProMedica named Jack Randolph chief information technology officer, effective March 1.
15. Vibrent Health, a healthcare technology company focused on precision medicine, named James Wade, MD, chief medical informatics officer.
16. Allscripts appointed Dennis Olis, the company's interim CFO since May 2017, to permanently remain in the position.
17. After just over a year with Apple's health team, prominent healthcare researcher Stephen Friend, MD, PhD, has left the company.
18. Orlando (Fla.) Health appointed Novlet Mattis CIO.
19. The athenahealth board of directors has unanimously appointed Jeff Immelt chairman of the company, effective Feb. 7.
