Customer relationship management provider hc1.com has joined the IBM Watson Ecosystem, where its Patient Insights app will be powered by the supercomputer.
Through the partnership, the hc1 Patient Insights app will use Watson's cognitive computing technologies to analyze a patient's social information, call center logs and other social and demographic data to create a profile evaluating the patient's relationship with the hospital or health system. The app then gives insights gathered from these data points to care providers, who can personalize care delivery and customer service for patients to increase patient retention, reduce readmission and gaps in care and identify and address at-risk populations.
Indianapolis-based Eskenazi Health is the first hospital to adopt hc1 Patient Insights. "With the hc1 app, our goal is to further tailor care by gaining insight into an individual patient's preferences," said Parveen Chand, COO of Eskenazi Health. "By better understanding our patient population, we're able to serve them in a more personalized, engaging manner. That could mean additional reminders regarding appointments, follow-ups regarding medication usage, or encouraging subsequent lab visits and testing."
