Greenway Medical Technologies has become the first ambulatory health IT vendor to join the federal health information organization, Healtheway, and support national health information exchange.
Healtheway is a nonprofit, public-private collaborative that supports the national eHealth Exchange, which currently connects government agencies, regional health information organizations and health systems across the country.
"Greenway's early-adopter work in standards-based exchange and its organizational collaborations are well-known in the industry," said Healtheway Executive Director Mariann Yeager in a news release. "We welcome Greenway's real-world experience and expertise as a vital addition to our expanding reach and success."
