Mountain View, Calif.-based Google is developing an artificial intelligence group for Google Cloud, according to Reuters.
Diane Greene, senior vice president of Google Cloud, recently announced this project at an event at the company headquarters. The team will be led by Fei-Fei Li, PhD, an associate professor in the computer science department at Stanford University in California, and Jia Li, who previously served as the head of research at Venice, Calif.-based Snapchat, according to Business Insider.
"What really attracted these two people to come and be in Google Cloud is a chance to democratize machine learning and artificial intelligence," Ms. Greene told Reuters.
