Georgia Health Connect, a health information network for smaller practices, hospitals and health systems throughout Georgia, has announced its release.
GaHC was launched by the Georgia Regional Health Information Extension Center to help smaller healthcare providers in rural and underserved areas have better access to technology and technology support to become more competitive in their marketplaces.
GaHC has partnered with Liaison Technologies, Health Data Management, EMR-Link, Quest Diagnostics and DrFirst to create its exchange. It will also soon connect to the statewide HIE, Georgia Health Information Network, according to a release.
