GE Healthcare and HeartFlow will collaborate to improve care for coronary artery disease patients.
The collaboration will bring together GE Healthcare's cardiac CT scanners and clinical applications with HeartFlow's FFRct, a non-invasive technology that helps clinicians diagnose and treat CAD.
FFRct uses deep learning to analyze data from a patient's coronary CT angiogram. The technology creates a personalized digital 3-D model of a patient's coronary arteries, which simulates blood flow and blockages to determine the extent of the disease and provide actionable treatment insights.
GE Healthcare and HeartFlow's initial agreement focuses on the U.S., however, the companies plan to expand their collaborative services to other markets in the future.
