Former Cerner interoperability exec to lead DirectTrust

DirectTrust named Scott Stuewe president and CEO, effective Sept. 1.

Mr. Stuewe is currently director of strategy and interoperability at DataFile Technologies, a health information management solutions provider. Previously, he worked at Cerner for 24 years, most recently serving as Cerner Network's director of national interoperability strategy. In that role, he drove Cerner's participation in the CommonWell Health Alliance.

Mr. Stuewe succeeds David C. Kibbe, MD, founding president and CEO of DirectTrust, who announced his retirement plans in February. Once Mr. Stuewe assumes the role, Dr. Kibbe will transition into a senior advisor position.

DirectTrust is a nonprofit healthcare industry alliance supporting interoperable information exchange between providers and patients.
