Livongo Health named former Allscripts President Lee Shapiro CFO, effective February 2019.
In late December, the wearables company, which is focused on chronic disease management, tapped former Cerner President Zane Burke as its CEO. This makes Mr. Shapiro — who served as Allscripts president from 2001 to 2012 — Livongo's second hire from an EHR vendor.
Mr. Shapiro has served on Livongo's board since its founding. He has also collaborated with Livongo founder and Executive Chairman Glen Tullman to establish 7wireVentures, a $100 million early stage healthcare venture investment fund.

"His intimate knowledge of Livongo, his close working relationships with the leadership team and his connections across the industry, including virtually every analyst in the healthcare and technology space, will allow us to rapidly accelerate our business and better serve our members and clients."
