For the fifth year in a row, the Epocrates mobile app was found to be the most popular medical reference app by Manhattan Research.
About half of all physicians in the U.S. use Epocrates, and nearly one-third of users open the app three or more times per day.
"Epocrates has always been a great drug reference," Ryan Walley, MD, a practicing pediatrician, told InformationWeek. "That was the primary thing we physicians grew to love and the reason I think a lot of us flocked to and remained loyal to Epocrates."
Manhattan Research's findings were based on a survey of 3,000 physicians.
