For the sixth year in a row, Verona, Wis.-based Epic Systems was ranked as the No. 1 Overall Software Suite in KLAS' latest Best in KLAS report. The report ranks healthcare companies based on customer reviews.
Cerner was ranked No. 2 in the Overall Software Suite ranking, reports EHR Intelligence.
Epic was also named the top Overall Physician Practice Vendor. Additionally, the vendor earned Best in KLAS awards in the following eight segments:
- Acute Care EMR: EpicCare Inpatient EMR
- Ambulatory EMR (More than 75 physicians): EpicCare Ambulatory EMR
- Health Information Exchange: Epic Care Everywhere
- Patient Accounting and Patient Management: Epic Resolute Hospital Billing
- Patient Portals: Epic MyChart
- Practice Management (More than 75 physicians): Epic Resolute/Prelude/Cadence Ambulatory
- Surgery Management: Epic OpTime
- Anesthesia: Epic Anesthesia Information Management System
Other prominent EHR vendors to receive segment Best in KLAS awards include Cerner (Non-US Patient Administration Systems, Application Hosting, Acute Care EMR and Anatomic Pathology) and athenahealth (Ambulatory EMR for between 11 and 75 physicians and Practice Management for between 11 and 75 physicians).
