The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission has announced new criteria for the Health Information Exchange Accreditation Program.
The updated HIE accreditation criteria reviews technical performance, business processes, resource management and other pertinent information to ensure companies are properly and adequately handling protected health information in accordance with laws and public policy, according to a news release.
