Physicians at Edward–Elmhurst (Ill.) Health now have a new tool to explain diagnoses to patients, thanks to a partnership with Outcome Health.
Under the agreement, Outcome will provide decision support to the system's 500 physicians and advanced practice clinicians by supplying them with tools like TV screens and tablets, which will aid in explaining diagnoses to patients.
The partnership will help improve patient communication on medication options and enhance the patient experience.
"Our partnership with Outcome Health is a part of our continued commitment to inspire, educate and positively affect the quality of life of thousands of patients within the Edward-Elmhurst Health network," said Mary Lou Mastro, RN, the system's CEO. "Through the technology of Outcome Health, information will be readily accessible and support practitioners’ ability to educate patients."
