Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia has renewed and expanded its service agreement with Allscripts to provide new products.
The college, which already uses Allscripts' TouchWorks EHR, also implemented Allscripts FollowMyHealth as its patient engagement platform. The college plans to leverage the technology to meet meaningful use requirements and support education and research, according to a news release.
Drexel University College of Medicine educates one in every 73 medical students in the U.S., the news release. The college employs more than 400 clinical and basic science faculty members and more than 1,000 students. Allscripts TouchWorks EHR offers clinical decision support and a clinical desktop, and the FollowMyHealth platform allows patients to access their medical records online.
"Allscripts has been a collaborative partner with Drexel University College of Medicine," said Tish Calvarese, Drexel's CIO, in the news release. "We look forward to continuing to partner with Allscripts to address the challenges of population health management, to enhance our mission of academic medicine, and to deliver enhanced care for patients."
