Doximity, American Well want telemedicine to a be a career, not an ancillary service

Telemedicine is becoming increasingly popular, but it is still mainly seen as a way to augment more traditional models of care. Digital health companies Doximity and American Well are working to change this perspective, according to a MedCity News report.

American Well, based in Boston, and Doximity, based in San Francisco, are collaborating to recruit physicians to practice medicine remotely. The two companies are aiming to formalize their process for recruiting physicians. The companies hope to offer physicians telemedicine as a career with an appealing lifestyle, according to the report.
