The U.S. Department of Defense has issued an invitation for electronic health record vendors to demonstrate their product as part of the market research phase of the department's efforts to replace its legacy EHR system.
The DoD is interested in integrated EHR systems that can support a variety of care settings, including inpatient, outpatient, specialty and offsite care. The demonstrations are intended primarily to help the DoD gather information regarding commercial EHR capabilities.
Demonstrations will be held the week of Oct. 21 in Washington, D.C.
