Abhi Gupta and Ram Sahasranam have raised $6 million for Fold Health, a startup looking to reduce administrative tasks in primary care offices.
Fold Health is a digital health technology platform looking to reduce repetitive administrative work and allow clinicians to focus directly on care.
"The amount of time primary care doctors spend entering the same information into different systems has created a burden that makes it difficult to fulfill their Hippocratic oath for their patients," said Mr. Sahasranam, Fold co-founder and president, in a July 13 press release shared with Becker's.
Mr. Gupta, Fold's co-founder and CEO, and Mr. Sahasranam sold their previous electronic health record startup to Athenahealth. Former Athenahealth CEO Jonathan Bush contributed to this round of fundraising.
