An employee at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Ala., has been arrested and accused of stealing data from a clearing house used by the hospital, according to an AL.com report.
Joshua Seth Howell is being held on $15,000 bond and being charged with computer tampering. Mr. Howell's employment was terminated on June 16, according to the report.
Hospital spokesperson Brad Fisher said in the report the hospital does not yet know what data was compromised, but the Secret Service is carrying out an investigation to determine what information was stolen.
