Change Healthcare introduced InterQual 2018, the latest edition of its flagship clinical decision support solution.
The InterQual tool aims to improve clinical decision making and care management across the care continuum.
The updated InterQual 2018 utilizes a new proprietary literature surveillance system that analyzes 3,000-plus medical literature sources and flags new information for clinicians to critically appraise. It also offers new technology such as InterQual AutoReview, which automates the InterQual medical review using clinical data from the EHR.
Additionally, the tool includes expanded care management information to include admission considerations as well as added proactive care management guidance to the substance use disorders criteria.
