Both Cerner and Walgreens have settled with health IT vendor MMRGlobal over patent infringement claims regarding MMR's personal health record platform.
Both claims revolved around the alleged use of MMR's patented MyMedicalRecord portfolio products.
On March 6, Walgreens and MMR entered into a settlement and licensing agreement that includes Walgreens' purchase of a nonexclusive license to several MMR products.
The terms of the settlement with Cerner, announced March 12, are confidential, though the agreement includes "other terms and conditions related to an ongoing business relationship between the parties," according to an MMRGlobal news release.
MMRGlobal has similar patent infringement complaints filed against WebMD and Allscripts.
