Cerner and NeuroLogix Technologies, a Cleveland Clinic spinoff, have decided to integrate tools to enhance concussion management. The companies will integrate NeuroLogix's C3Logix concussion management system with Cerner's HealtheAthlete health management system.
The C3Logix system allows physicians, athletic trainers and other personnel to assess the neurologic domains in the brain that a concussion impairs. The system aggregates neurologic data over time, developing comparison visualizations. Additionally, researchers can collect longitudinal data using the system, to determine the long-term implications of concussions.
HealtheAthlete is a cloud-based system that enables providers to document injury, rehabilitation, conditioning and health-related events. It also includes tracking and analysis tools.
"HealtheAthlete captures critical health data throughout the life of an injury, and our collaboration with C3Logix will help with the health and safety of athletes across high school, collegiate and professional settings," said Nate Hogan, general manager of HealtheAthlete at Cerner.
