San Francisco-based Catholic Healthcare West has signed a $4.3 million, three-year contract to provide CHW-affiliated physicians with remote access to patient monitoring data, according to a health system news release.
Up to four hours of data on mothers in labor, including fetal heartbeats, maternal contraction patterns and vital signs, will be transmitted to physicians' mobile handheld device. CHW's 32 hospitals with birthing centers will implement the technology.
