The Great Lakes Health Information Exchange has announced providers from Carson Health, based in Carson City, Mich., will now be able to share patient information over the HIE.
Participating providers from the hospital, part of Lansing, Mich.-based Sparrow Health System, will be able to communicate with other regional providers through the HIE and retrieve clinical and diagnostic testing information on their patients to avoid performing duplicate tests.
"The data access provided through our relationship with Great Lakes Health Information Exchange will provide a significant benefit to the mid-Michigan patients that Carson Health serves," said Duane Miller, senior vice president and CFO of Carson Health, in the news release.
