Charlotte, N.C.-based Carolinas HealthCare System has launched its first mobile application, CMC Health, to improve patients' access to medical care, according to a health system news release.
The application allows patients to find a CMC location and directions, retrieve contact information and check on wait times. Patients can also search for a physician and access CHS' social media pages via the app.
CMC Health is one part of the system's eHealth strategy, which aims to improve efficiency and the relationship between patients and their physicians. Carolinas Healthcare System is developing a 2.0 version of the current application and is planning a second application to launch in the fall for its Active Women program.
